The large pond sets off the front of the house, and is stocked with a variety of fish, including koi, bass and trout. The pond was constructed at the same time as the house, but echoes the many natural ponds and wetlands found throughout Edgewood. It is topped off daily from our well, to keep good water quality for the fish. Overflow from the pond drains along the stream course to the lower pond east of the house.
Sitting areas at various locations around the pond give visitors a chance to watch the fish and enjoy the vistas of other areas of the garden.
